Casa Algodoal - Charming Boutique Beach-House

Casa Algodoal is a charming bespoken property that celebrates Tofo's natural beauty with spectacular views of the main beach and bay. Centrally located, but tastefully blended, Algodoal is perched just above the main beach, so you're close to everything but still enjoy an intimate privacy.

Completed in 2009, Casa Algodoal is a large open-plan boutique home made from 100% natural and locally sourced materials. Located on the southern end of Tofo Beach, Algodoal retains a seclusive feel despite its central location.

The home is three-stories and enjoys a lovely vista of the entire bay of Tofo, best enjoyed on the balcony extending the breadth of the lower level. The ground floor has two large rooms (one an en-suite master), a Moroccan inspired bathroom with tub, and a large open area that is comprised of the kitchen, dining area (punctuated with a bespoken world-map dinner table), and a lounge area to relax and watch the whales. 

French-style glass doors provide the option of leaving the balcony open during good weather, and closing them if the wind gets strong.

On the first floor , you will find two more double bedrooms and a second bathroom with a shower. Then go up one more set of stairs you will find a new ensuite bedroom with amazing view  of the Bay, featuring a Queen sized bed and5a self standing bath tub. 

On the grounds there is a lovely swimming pool (3x5m, 1.4m deep),  an outdoor kitchen area with a braii (bbq) area, accented with a wood burning oven, grill stand, hammock and picnic tables.

Guests have full access to the house as well as outdoor garden and braii areas. Beach access is a short 20-30 m (Less than 2 minute walk) from the house's front gate entrance.

We meet our guests upon arrival, unless they arrive after 5 pm (17:00). We are then out-of-the-way unless needed or our presence is requested.

The beach house is on the first dune, 30 meters from the main Tofinho beach access onto Tofo Beach. We're situated in the heart of Tofo, an excellent spot for people watching, sunning, swimming and long-boarding.

Tofinho, "little Tofo", is a short shore-walk past Tofo beach's southern point and is a world renowned destination for experienced surfers. 

No matter your tastes, Algodoal is in the right spot to cater to them.

Our closest dive center, Peri-Peri, is less than a minute walk from our front gate, and the town's central market and restaurants are a short 3 to 5 minute walk along the beach or up towards Peri-Peri and down the concrete steps (10% discount for our guests).

Airport shuttle and transfers can be organized for guests upon request. Tofo is a small village and is manageable on foot, but If you're keen to visit neighboring Barra or the city of Inhambane, a car or private transfer is easily arranged.

We have 2 guard dogs that provide additional security as well as 2 guard cats. All the animals live at another home in a sectioned off part of the property, below Algodoal, but will occasionally visit during their security rounds.
